Point du Grave.

In Soulac follow the road signs to "Royan par point du Grave". At the end of the harbour, near the ferry. There is a parking place were you can park the car.

There are two visible emplacements left from the original battery. Two L409's remain, one of them is still recognisable. The bunker next to the road entering the point is a 506c casemate, most of the bunker has been destroyed.

Types:
2x L409 Gun site for 3.7cm AA gun.
1x 506c  Casemate for 4.7cm anti-tank gun.
1x Searchlight garage.

Point du Grave.

In Soulac follow the road signs to "Royan par point du Grave". At the end of the harbour, near the ferry. There is a parking place were you can park the car. The battery is located in the dunes behind the parking place. None of the bunkers can be entered because they are on military terrain.

Special at this location is the double 669 casemate which is covering the entrance to the Point du Grave and the the Gironde itself.
The 636a fire-control bunker is now is use by the French military. The casemate next to it, a type 671, has an Flak emplacement on the roof. The bunker itself is partly covered by sand and the second 671 which is almost completely covered.

1x 636a Command post for army coastal battery(unit command post).
2x 671 Embrasured emplacement for central pivoting gun (120º) without annexes.
1x 669D (Double) Embrasured emplacement for field gun (60º) without annexes.
